A coordinator that repeats what each agent said leaves me all the work of joining the deliveries. I can collect messages myself, with coffee and an alarming number of tabs. When I ask for coordination, I want something following the relationships between tasks and the objective that needs to be delivered.
Fable 5 coming back on July 1 can make it possible to resume an execution, but somebody still needs to know where the work stopped and how it fits the whole job.
I expect a coordinator to recognize dependencies before they become incompatible deliveries, and to settle the obvious ones without calling me. Two responses are comparable only when they concern the same problem and make their assumptions visible, and counting how many agents said they finished does not resolve that.
A question about a task should get an answer about that task, with a way to check the conclusion. If I get the complete history of every execution, I have to separate the material again.
The original request has to stay available, and the whole result has to be reconnected to it before anyone announces completion. A sequence of delegations can move delivery away from the request without any single response looking absurd.
If the work changes, I want a change I can follow. Coordinators make mistakes too, and the time I spend undoing a wrong instruction belongs in the execution cost.
I will judge this role by what I find when I return: understandable current state, deliveries connected to the request, and a clearly identified decision from me when one is needed.
